I have recently learned about the benefits of walking barefoot. I am barefoot and in basic flip-flops all the time. These were the first shoes that I bought as barefoot shoes. They are absolutely wonderful to wear! You can get them adjusted just perfectly for your feet. It takes a little bit of play to do that, but eventually you get it nailed down perfect then all you have to do is adjust the little strap at the top to get your foot out. I watched the video that says not to unstrap the velcro and just undo the strap on top. It's very easy and more effective to do it that way. I took the advice and ordered one size down from my usual size 7. I ordered a 6 and they were too large for me up in the front area. I have short wide feet. I traded them in for a size 5 and they are perfect! Watch the video so that you can see how they are supposed to fit and what your comfort level might be as far as where you want your toes to sit in the shoe. My toes are not at the very front but just slightly back. In the size six I had more room that I was not comfortable with in the front. I contacted customer service and downloaded the label and drop them off and have my new shoes within a few days. The only reason I gave these 4 Stars is because the straps on one shoe are noticeably longer than the other one. The strap that goes around back is too long but it still has enough velcro connection to hold the shoe on. Across the top the strap is longer as well and I can tell the difference between the shoes and how they strap on. I just have them adjusted differently and I'm ordering a second pair as I write this review. I think they're amazing!

These are GREAT sandals. I have been hiking in my sandals for years and these bad boys had their maiden voyage along the Olympic Coast for 24 miles. Horrible choice on my part, but not the shoes fault. I failed to consider the terrain lol. The Olympic Coast is very rocky. I slipped all over my sandals, but my Z-treks didn't break, chafe, fray, loose traction...nothing like that.

The issue I have with these sandals is the adjustability. They fit very loosely and every effort I make to make them more secure fails. The Velcro on the heel strap isn't good enough. I end up with a 3-4 inch tail after I tighten the heel strap, but there's not enough Velcro contact for it to hold. Also, when I tighten the straps across the toe box, it loosens itself very quickly. So for me they are very floppy and reserved for city walking.

I still love these sandals, but they are not a great match narrow feet I guess. The Aqua Cloud sandals are... "chef's kiss". Love those.

I love these sandals so much. This is my second pair. I bought the first pair in 2020 and wore them all summer and through many warm destinations in winter. They went hiking, to the beach, stomping through creeks, and for walks downtown and dinners out. Finally the Velcro wore out or I may have kept them a little longer. The soles were getting thin and had a crack, but I would’ve made it work.

Why not 5 stars? My new Z-treks are a nice color, but I did prefer the dark brown because they felt a little dressier and didn’t draw as much attention to the sporty side of their style. And finally, for both the new pair and my originals, my low volume foot means I have a decent amount of extra strap that flaps around a bit. Other than those two things, they’re perfect.

I have been trying to love these, but I’m just not finding them comfortable. It’s sad because I love the whole concept, and was so excited to find sandles I cooluld just wear the entire summer. I have just been wearing them on shorter walks, and they have been okay, I’m trying to stay open minded even though I’m finding the straps are just a little too long me. I sized down like so many of the comments said but they maybe are still a bit big for me ? Hard to tell. Now today I went for my first 2 hour walk in them and I have blisters on my heel and middle of my foot on both feet.my feet hurt! I go on long walks with other sandles and don’t have this problem. The texture of the rubber against my feet feels really rough. They just haven't been the shoes I go for first and now the blisters are a real turn off. Hoping I can exchange them, and find something more comfortable.
